[읽는중]축의 전환

Last Sunday morning I went to a big bookstore in Gangnam station. I just wanted to look over books but I bought some books which I didn’t plan to buy. While scanning through the displayed books on the shelves for the new and bestseller, I found one called ‘The Future of Everything (2030 축의 전환).

This one was covered with good marketing words and I didn’t have trust in the book. As my purpose that I went to the bookstore was to discover what people recently liked, I looked over it. The 8 themes that the author suggested seemed to be interesting and I chose the book.

Then I started reading it and I thought that this book is like academic. It reminds me of what I read in graduate school. Particularly, this book starts with the international birth rate to get a sense of the future. And it organizes several facts related to birth rate, population, and economy. That’s why I came up with lectures in graduate school.

Anyway, it is not easy to read because I’ve not been close to books like this for a while. I need to read it very slowly :)
